Many modern beds are made of metal. Metal beds come in a range of styles. They are typically made from chrome, polished steel or modern light alloys. Traditional or antique style metal beds are typically made from iron or brass.

At the cheaper end of the market, most metal beds are self assembly. Although assembling a bed may seem like a chore, the fact that a bed can be dis-assembled means it is easy to move between rooms or even houses.

Modern metal beds come in a range of sizes from single beds, to small double beds, to standard double, king size and super kingsize. Being metal they are easy to maintain and should provide years of use.
